CASS' Tangian appointed as a board member of NHCP

College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) professor from the Department of History and the Director of the Center for Advanced Education and Life Long Learning (CAELL), Dr. Cecilia B. Tangian has been appointed as a member of the Board of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). 

The NHCP has the goal of maintaining a Filipino society with an informed citizen of their history, who love their country and are proud of their cultural heritage. Dr. Tangian’s role will contribute to ensuring that the mission and vision of NHCP are met, especially through research and conservation to further thrust a nation with a strong national consciousness. 

On May 15, 2024, Dr. Tangian attended the oath-taking ceremony in Manila representing the private sector with a term effective from May 1, 2024, until January 3, 2026.
