CCS faculty present research at ICITE Korea 2024, Palad bags Best Paper Presenter Award

Reflecting the college’s unwavering commitment to academic and research innovation, faculty members from the College of Computer Studies of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT presented their research at the International Conference on Information Technology Education (ICITE) 2024, held on November 21-23, 2024 at the Solbridge International School of Business, Daejeon, South Korea.

Atty. Eddie Bouy B. Palad from the Information Technology Department was awarded the Best Paper Presenter title under the Business and Multimedia Tracks. His winning presentation research entitled, “The Adoption of FinTech Services during Extreme Disruptions and the COVID-19 Pandemic in Mindanao, The Philippines,” explored user behavior and the rapid adoption of FinTech services during the pandemic. Co-authored with Dr. Pamela F. Resurreccion and Dr. Rabby Q. Lavilles, the study highlighted the resilience and adaptability of communities in Mindanao through financial technology. BS Information Systems students Roy Cris Feniza, Amalia Revz Jimenez, and Simon Christopher Salimbangon also assisted Atty. Palad in the data gathering.
