The Research Week 2024 finally ended with a Closing Program and an Awarding Ceremony of Outstanding Researchers on March 8, 2024, at the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT Gymnasium. The program was attended by the University officials, faculty members, and students.

The event was made more momentous as the contributions of the faculty members in research were acknowledged. The categories of awards given and granted were Scopus-Indexed Paper; Book and Book Chapter; Best Paper, Poster, Presenter; Creative Works; Internally Funded Project; Externally Funded Project; and Patent Application. A total of 193 awardees were recognized.

In his speech, Chancellor Alizedney M. Ditucalan congratulated everyone for the success of Research Week and highlighted the significance of holding an awarding ceremony.

“We will continue to document our work so that our work continues to generate inspiration. That is ultimately the underlying goal of recognition. We recognize the work that we have done, so that our best practices can be replicated. We recognize the best among us, so that we may emulate their dedication,” he said.

The week-long celebration of knowledge and innovation wrapped up successfully and has furthered the ambition of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT to become a research-intensive university in Mindanao.
