As the year comes to a close, I would like to congratulate the faculty, staff, and students for the dedication, commitment, and bravery shown during a difficult year.
The year 2020 virtually put University constituents through the gamut of emotions with the COVID-19 pandemic in full swing and the challenges in adapting ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT’s academic, administrative, and professional services and operations to the new normal.
Despite these difficulties, our academic reputation and our steadfast service to the community continue to be the hallmark of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT.
I also would like to send my warmest greetings to my colleagues in the university who are celebrating Christmas.
Even though I don’t take part in the traditional festivities, I happily share in the joy of colleagues, friends, faculty and staff members of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT.
The Qur’an teaches us that we all have differing beliefs but we must live together in peace, love, and harmony, which I believe is also the very reason for celebrating the season.
While our country is facing great challenges, especially with the threat of COVID-19 still far from over, I would like to remind my colleagues, amidst the lovely songs, delicious food and drinks, to celebrate the occasion safely with their loved ones.
Let this also be the time to reflect on the past, to be grateful for the present, and to look at the future with hope.
Again, I wish you a peaceful and safe celebration!
