In a move to elevate research integrity, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT hosted the Basic Research Ethics Training on April 3-4, 2025. This critical workshop, held at the CPI Training Room, was designed exclusively for members of the University Ethics Review Board (UERB) and the College Research Ethics Committees (CREC).
This focused two-day workshop aims to strengthen the ethical review processes within the university, ensuring that all research conducted adheres to the highest standards of integrity and participant protection.
ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT's Research Integrity and Compliance Office, led by Director Atty. Eddie Bouy B. Palad, was spearheading the event, bringing in esteemed experts Dr. Ruben Mendoza and Dr. Edna Medez from the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board (PHREB) in Manila.
The training focused on the ethical review principles, national guidelines, and complex case studies, aiming to refine the university's ethical oversight. This initiative underscores ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT's commitment to upholding the highest standards of research ethics.
