ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT and UMY explore opportunities and pathways for international collaboration

In a forward-looking meeting aimed at fostering international partnerships, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT, Philippines and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia convened to discuss potential internationalization engagements. The meeting featured a presentation by the Dr. Fitri Arofiati, the Director of International Cooperation of UMY, who outlined various mechanisms for collaborative international initiatives.

During the discussion, the Director emphasized the importance of creating sustainable partnerships that benefit both institutions. Key topics included student and faculty exchange programs, joint research projects, and collaborative academic offerings. The Director highlighted successful models from other international collaborations as examples for possible engagement.

“Our goal is to create a vibrant international network that enhances the educational experience for our students and faculty,” said the Director. “By working together, we can share resources, knowledge, and cultural experiences that will enrich our academic communities.”

Representatives from both universities expressed enthusiasm about the potential for collaboration, recognizing the value of joint initiatives in a globalized educational landscape. The meeting concluded with a commitment to further explore specific projects and action plans.

Moving forward, both universities will continue to engage in discussions to plan and craft joint degree and dual degree offerings as well as student and faculty exchanges.
