CCS researchers participate in NiDS 2024 International Conference in Greece

Oct 09 2024

Faculty and alumni from the College of Computer Studies (CCS) took part in the 4th International Conference on Novel and Intelligent Digital Systems (NiDS) 2024), held from September 25-27, 2024, at the University of West Attica, Athens, Greece. The event, which focused on AI and digital systems, provided an opportunity to share CCS research with the international community.

Two projects were presented: "Modeling Dengue Cases and Online Search Behavior for Predictions" by Jerina Jean Ecleo, co-authored by Adrian Galido, and "Development of an Image-Based Reverse Vending Machine Using Raspberry Pi" by Apple Rose Alce, also co-authored by Francis Miguel Colaljo, Kent Roian Basit, Rochelle James Jaudian, Paul Rodolf Castor, Paul Bokingkito Jr., Antonio Marajas, Stefany Mae Caparida, and Adrian Galido. Moreover, the NiDS 2024 Proceedings will be published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS) book series, a Scopus-indexed publication.

The conference also provided a chance for CCS researchers (faculty and alumni) to connect with international colleagues, including those from the University of West Attica, the University of the Philippines, the event organizers, and other researchers in the field, opening doors for future collaboration.

As CCS continues to grow, the researchers look forward to participating in more summits ー scaling research, and innovation in the future.
