CHS representatives to 7th ICHAS 2024 win several Best Presenter Awards

A number of ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ College of Health Sciences (CHS) faculty representatives recently won Best Presenter Awards during the 7th International Conference on Health Care and Allied Sciences (ICHAS 2024) held at the Summit Hotel Subang USJ, Malaysia on 25th and 26th September 2024.

The Best Paper Presenter awardees were CHS’s Assistant Professor Karlo Gayao, Asst. Prof. Leah May P. Madjus, Asst. Prof. Roy D. Gumayao and Dr. Neil Madulara Martin.

Gayao and Madjus both presented their papers during the first day Session II A: Open paper Session held at Ball Room 2 (Level 5) which had a total of 45 papers presented.

Gayao presented the paper “Demographic Characteristics and Impact of Social Media on the General Point Average of Nursing Students in Southern Philippines” with co-authors Analisah Ali, Hanifa Dimaampao, Apipah Maba, Johanisah Mayo. 

While Madjus presented the paper “Transitioning from Online to Face-to-Face Clinical Duties: Exploring the Challenges Faced by Nursing Students Post Pandemic” with co-authors Assoc. Prof. Gloria Sheila E. Coyoca, Assoc. Prof. Mae-lanie O. Poblete; Asst. Prof. Jessica B. Orias; Charlize Noelle Batara; Aldrinne Faye Jovellano; Maria Joyce April Tagalog.

Gumayao and Martin both presented during the Second day Session III A: Open paper Session held at Ball Room 2 (Level 5) which had a total of 36 papers presented.

Gumayao presented the paper “Profile and Level of Competence in Medication Administration Process of Aspiring Nurses in a State-funded University in Southern Philippines” with co-authors Fatima D. Pandaog, Nor-Aine B. Jonaid, Assoc. Prof. Coyoca, Assoc. Prof. Poblete, Asst. Prof. Lorie Ann S. Balili.

While Martin presented the paper ““Usage of social media and Extent on Multidimensional Body Self-Relations among Undergraduate Students of a state University in Southern Philippines” with co-authors Vincent Guiller Andangan, Kenneth Karl Go, Christian R. Patayon, Assoc. Prof Poblete, Assoc. Prof. Tabil.

Amarillo with “Time Management Strategies and Academic Stress among the Nursing Students: A Correlational Study”; and Assoc. Prof. Vincent Go Tabil “Day-Night Cycle of the Night Owl at the Lens of an Angel” with co-author Martin during Session III A.

The 7th ICHAS 2024 is an annual international event and was organized by the Lincoln University College, Malaysia in collaboration with Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) of Indonesia, Central University of Kashmir of India and ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT of the Philippines.
