CHS delegation keynotes and chairs in 7th ICHAS 2024

Faculty from the College of Health Sciences (CHS) of the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT) participated and acted as Keynote Speakers and Chairpersons during the 7th International Conference on Health Care and Allied Sciences (ICHAS 2024) held at the Summit Hotel Subang USJ, Malaysia on September 25 – 26, 2024.

The first day had CHS Dr. Neil Madulara Martin, ICHAS International Affairs Coordinator (Designate), delivering a paper entitled “Usage of social media and Extent on Multidimensional Body Self-Relations among Undergraduate Students of a state University in Southern Philippines” with co-authors Vincent Guiller Andangan, Kenneth Karl Go, Christian R. Patayon, Assoc. Prof. Mae Lanie Poblete, and Assoc. Prof. VincentTabil.

CHS Dean, Dr. Abdullah Junior S. Mangarun was keynote speaker and talked about “Building a Robust Safety Culture: Enhancing Patient and Clinician Outcomes in Healthcare” during Session I while CHS Research Coordinator Dr. Gloria Shiela E. Coyoca acted as chairperson during Session II B: Open Paper Session.

On the second day, Dr. Mangarun also acted as a chairperson during the Session IV B while Dr. Martin was keynote speaker and delivered his speech about “Timeless Knowing and Being as Caring: A Theory Construct”, he then also acted as chairperson during the Session III: Open Paper Session.

The annual international event organized by Malaysia’s Lincoln University College in collaboration with Indonesia’s Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS), India’s Central University of Kashmir and Philippines’ ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT was attended by a good number of international speakers and participants, including a contingent of faculty from CHS who presented papers, and had a total of around more than 90 papers presented during the two-day event.
