In a recently published journal article from the Philippine Journal of Science titled, “Research Landscape of Filipino Mathematicians: a Co-authorship Network Analysis” where a co-authorship network map of Filipino mathematicians using Elsevier's Scopus database was utilized, results showed that ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT ranked second with a percentage of 9.09% in the five key institutions identified with the highest number of Filipino mathematicians with Scopus-indexed publications.

In understanding the research landscape of Filipino mathematicians, particularly in the current issues and culture of collaboration, this study was able to underscore that collaborations among institutions rarely happen and the top three institutions only had 15 inter-institutional collaborations. Despite the significantly small number, ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳-IIT was found to have had five partnerships with the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) and four with De La Salle University.

Moreover, another paper finding revealed that Dr. Sergio Canoy Jr. from the College of Science and Mathematics is the most connected mathematician, working with 61 other researchers as indicated by the degree centrality (k=61).

These findings emphasize the university's active collaborations with other leading institutions, emphasizing its position in furthering advanced mathematical research in the Philippines.
