Entrepreneurial Marketing Student Enterprises joins iDEYA as it celebrates International Women’s Month 2019

In celebration for this years’ International Women’s Month, IDeya recently set forth its second season of Fireside Chat Night (FCN) last March 8, 2019, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at the iDeya: Center of Innovation and Technopreneurship Building.

 

Gone are those days where women are expected to stay at home all the time, clean the house, take care of her family and do nothing connected with the society aside from being labeled as a ‘housewife’. And today, despite all odds against them, women are making notable advancements and contributions into various arena including entrepreneurship. Fireside Chat Night, to be held every Friday on the month of March, seeks to introduce and showcase women entrepreneurs of Iligan City through a conversational-like session where they get to talk about their humble beginnings and share essential advice to the younger audiences. Few of the speakers during the event include Charm M. Vega of DIY Bride Tribe, Dolores Alemania of Madelicious Food Corporation, Jessica Alemania and Madel Alemania, and most recently, Jzietel Alemania of Eco Sip and Caryl Soledad Padilla of St. Therese de Avila-Iligan. JCI Iligan and Maria Christina Chapter is also an active partner in the past and upcoming sessions of FCN.

In addition, four of the student enterprises from the course BSBA Entrepreneurial Marketing which too are mostly composed of women entrepreneurs, namely Bagettes’, Khoza, The Lokal Beaut, and Weave, took part in the event by attending and displaying their products during the event.

 

Down to its final session this coming March 29, 2019, Friday, Ideya is now open for registration for the last run of their Fireside Chat Night and updates about the speakers will be posted through their Facebook account.
