ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ – Iligan Institute of Technology (IIT) joined the DOST-PCIEERD’s IP Management Program for Academic Institutions Commercializing Technologies (IMPACT). Given this privilege, the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO) commits to provide full support to the conduct and implementation of the IMPACT program, subject to the existing protocols, policies, and standards of the Institute and other pertinent offices involved.
In line with this, the KTTO is accepting applications for the following positions:
- One (1) Science Research Specialist (SRS) I
Salary Grade 13 (P 32,053.80 per month)
- Two (2) University Research Associate (URA)
Salary Grade 12 (P 29,394.00 per month)

Desirable Qualifications:
- Basic appreciation of Intellectual Property (IP) rights and commercialization; and
- Fundamental skills in technology commercialization and entrepreneurship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Holder of a Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job;
- Good moral character;
- Innovative thinker and doer, with a drive to excel in a unique field of specialization;
- Relevant training/experience in any of the following:
- developing and implementing strategies for marketing of technologies and for engaging businesses;
- sales or closing of product/technology offers; or
- pitching to/negotiating with businesses.
Other Skills & Competencies:
- IP Skills: Conduct of IP-related research and patent searches; and Performance of IP-related analysis (patentability, novelty searches, landscapes, licensing, infringement, etc.);
- Marketing and Entrepreneurial Skills: Able in determining the commercial potential of the technology / invention disclosed and its market readiness by performing market analysis, IP Valuations and technology assessments to determine the value of the IP in the market; Adept in developing pitch deck and portfolio, and other promotional materials for investor meetings and coordinate with beneficiaries for approval of content of promotional materials; and Proficient in the preparation of marketing collaterals, e.g., IP Portfolio Brochure, Press Releases and Other Marketing Materials, Technology Briefs and business plans of high potential technologies, as well as organizing frequent promotional events for researchers and industry
- Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc., Multimedia Presentations / Editing / Graphics, as well as creating visual results and trends and statistical software platforms, and Creation and Management of the Web site, Database and Electronic Database Resources.
- Math and analytical skills: Essential for analyzing research data.
- Confidence: Proficient in oral and written communication and should be comfortable speaking in front of strangers and presenting results to internal team members and management.
- Multitasking capability: Able to with quick turnaround and willing to work on extended working hours without additional compensation.
- Interpersonal skills: well with all levels of management, internal staff, clients, and vendors and has strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a team, but can also work independently with minimum supervision.
